‘Flow of Hue’ is a vibrant exploration of colour and movement, inviting viewers into a dynamic dialogue between form and emotion. Using bright hues and abstract compositions, she captures the essence of flow—both in the natural world and in the human experience. Stephanie aims to convey the mundane through a new lens, which we can perceive the world anew. These works heavily embrace spontaneity, allowing the work to evolve organically, reflecting the fluidity of thought and emotion.
The act of creation becomes a meditative practice for her, a way to connect with inner thoughts and feelings. This exploration of movement is not just visual; it invites the viewer to engage, to feel the rhythm of the piece and to find their own narrative within the flow. Stephanie invites viewers to immerse themselves in this vibrant exploration, encouraging them to pause and reflect on their own interpretations of movement and colour. Each artwork is an invitation to connect, to feel, and to explore the complexities of emotion that bind us together as human beings. Stephanie’s approach to art is rooted in spontaneity and intuition. Each piece evolves organically, reflecting the fluid nature of thought and emotion. This emphasis on movement invites viewers to not only see but also feel—encouraging them to engage with the artwork on a visceral level.
Through "Flow of Hue," Stephanie invites her audience to embark on a journey of self-discovery, encouraging them to explore the complexities of their own emotions. Her work is a celebration of the shared human experience, a reminder that we are all interconnected through our feelings and perceptions.
Artist Bio
Stephanie Bain is a contemporary artist based in Melbourne, Victoria, with a deep love for creating artworks and digital prints. She incorporates a variety of vibrant colours, tactile textures, and demonstrates the abstraction and collage of shapes in the majority of her pieces. These methods are favoured due to Stephanie’s desire to convey her physical and mental expression through her work. She achieves this by spreading colours and shapes across her canvases. She resonates with the process of abstraction because it allows for individual interpretation and breaks down the forms of reality.
